The show ring is an extension of the work we do at home. Competition is an opportunity to bring the partnership, confidence, and training developed at home into a new environment. My approach to showing is thoughtful and purposeful—preparing both horse and rider so they arrive feeling confident, organized, and ready to perform at their best. The goal isn't simply to show up. It's to be prepared.
Prepare
Preparation begins long before show day.
Every horse and rider combination requires a different approach to competition. We develop a plan around their experience, goals, and needs—from schooling and conditioning to developing the communication required to perform in an unfamiliar environment.
Perform
Ride the horse you've developed.
Show days should not be about asking for something entirely different. The goal is to bring the same clarity and communication from home into the ring, allowing the horse and rider to work together with confidence.
Compete With Purpose
Competition should serve the horse and the partnership—not the other way around.
That means choosing the right shows, setting realistic goals, and knowing when a horse is ready for the next challenge.
Success isn't always measured by a ribbon. Sometimes it's simply knowing that the partnership you've built at home held together when it mattered. Those moments matter.
